Competitions for 2007 – 2008 season
SPF
Area 5 Way comp. at Airdrie & Coatbridge Tues 13 Nov. 2007
This is a 5
club competition - Stirling, Kirkintilloch, Falkirk, Cumbernauld
& Kilsyth and Airdrie & Coatbridge. It is held in rotation
and entry is 5 prints (either mono or colour) and 5 Digital projected
images. Maximum of 2 pieces of work from the same author in each
section.
Cumbernauld
won with 163, Falkirk 156, Kirk. 153, Stirling.

SPF
Print Championship at Perth on 2nd Dec. 07
The all day
print competition involves about 40 Scottish photographic clubs
and over 1000 entries. Each club member can enter up to 6 prints.

Stirling
were 28th.= out of 41 colour and unplaced in the mono.
The
Falkirk Battle . Thurs 22th. Nov 07
This was originally
a slide only competition. Entry was 25 images per club with a maximum
of 5 from any one author. The competition is now digital projection.

Edinburgh
P.S. 6 way at Stirling on 5th Dec. 07
This was originally
a competition started by Edinburgh Photographic Society and is held
early December. So far the winning club has hosted the next competition
and Stirling as last year winners are continuing the tradition.
Entry is 20 colour digital files.

won with 285, Bathgate 284, E.P.S. 270, Musselburgh 269, Hadd. 262
3 Way
Competition at Auchterarder on Tues. 18th. Feb 08
This is a 4
mono print, 4 colour print and 8 Digital projected image competition
from each club with maximum of 2 entries from the same photographer
in each section between Stirling, Crieff and Auchterarder.
Stirling
won with 268,
Auchterarder 240 and Creiff 220
SPF
Projected Image Championship .. 24th. Feb. 08
The above competition
is new and will be held for the first time this year and will replace
the old Slide Championship.

Stirling

Williamson
Trophy at Falkirk on Thurs. 20th Mar. 08
This is a print
only competition between Stirling, Falkirk and Kirkintilloch. There
is a mono and a colour section with a trophy for each. Entry is
6 mono and 8 colour prints. Maximum of 2 entries by any one author
in each section.
Falkirk
won the mono cup and Stirling
drew with Kirkintilloch for the colour cup

SPF Print and Slide Portfolios
This competition is judged behind closed doors but is open to all
club members with submission dates usually by the end of April.
The best entries are copied to slides and provide a slide show which
gets passed around all the participating clubs.
